Right now in North Carolina, more than 179,000 children have experienced the separation of a parent due to incarceration. (Annie E. Casey Foundation, 2016)

How Does Davidson Prison Ministry Fulfill Our Mission?
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! As we reflect on 2024 and lean into the new year, we are grateful for the ways God has used Davidson Prison Ministry to make a profound impact on the lives of those we serve. I am excited to share updates on the incredible accomplishments of this past year and invite your church to partner with us in this life-changing mission.
Davidson Prison Ministry continues to bring hope and practical support to men and women in six prisons across North Carolina. Through God’s grace and your support, we are seeing true transformation in the lives of those both incarcerated and recently released.
As we look toward 2025, we need your partnership more than ever. Your prayers, financial contributions, and volunteer support can help us reach more people and extend the impact of this ministry. Together, we can show those often overlooked that they are loved by God and that a hopeful future awaits them.

Davidson Prison Ministry continues to bring hope and practical support to men and women in six prisons across North Carolina. Through God’s grace and your support, we are seeing true transformation in the lives of those both incarcerated and recently released.
- Supportive Housing: We successfully launched Spring Street Lighthouse, a new supportive housing program, offering a safe, stable environment for individuals transitioning back into society. Our first residents have not only found a place to call home but also a supportive community as they rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
- Discipleship Classes: Our discipleship classes continue to thrive across the six prisons we serve. In 2024, dozens of participants have dedicated themselves to learning about God’s Word and deepening their faith. These classes have become a source of spiritual renewal, with many individuals finding salvation and gaining a fresh perspective on life rooted in Christ.
- Launchpad Academy: Our entrepreneurial program, Launchpad Academy, equipped many inmates this year with practical business skills, preparing them to re-enter society as empowered and capable individuals. In 2024, we’ve seen participants take their first steps toward realizing their dreams, with many gaining the confidence to envision a future as contributors and leaders in their communities.
